It’s literally years since I have posted and many many things have happened. Today I’ve been working on a new website and updating Plas Colwyns website so here I am!

Where do I start?

As everyone is aware Covid- 19 changed the world but now we can travel again and most importantly we can HUG.

In a nutshell – life since my last post:

We didn’t travel to Spain (we have a house there) for 2 years.
I cut out scrubs, scrub bags and masks – my friend lent me a sewing machine so I sewed them together and another Crafty hobby was reignited. Followed by a Crafty business.

We had flights to South Africa cancelled for January 21 as yet another wave of Covid hit.

We reopened Plas Colwyn for small groups in July 2020 and the weather and River Colwyn had other ideas and the property was flooded in August 2020 to only reopen 12 months later 🙁

My grandchildren came close again and we have hugged a squllion times to make up for lost time

We both turned 66 and are officially Pensioners and I have had my first State Pension payments – 6 years late as I am a WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality)

My Hyper Parathyroidism started to cause major problems – more on that in another post – I have recently had another surgery and I am now bouncing around like Tigger with loads of energy.

As I wrote this I am in South Africa – a country I love – the people, the weather, the mountains, the food and the Bubbles!!

This year we have introduced my sister in law and friends to this wonderful country. I absolutely love organising events and showing  people the sites of the Western Cape is a joy – I have a new nickname – “Bubbles Tours”. My intention is to get into the “blogging” etc although om not entirely sure what this is !!

Tonight we say goodbye to one lot of friends, and are off to eat at FABER – based at Avondale – the food is divine and the bubbles organic!
